Human or AI: Can You Tell Who Made It?

Can we still tell what a human has created from what artificial intelligence has generated? Let's run an experiment together that may yield some very interesting answers. Thirty quick questions, about 5 minutes is enough. All you have to do is decide which of the images and texts were generated by AI and which were made by people. Join in and give it a try! Invite your friends too! The more people take part, the more interesting the results will be! Responses will be collected for two weeks, until March 8, 2024. Five participants will receive a gift.

Can we still tell what a human has created from what artificial intelligence has generated? Let's run an experiment together that may yield some very interesting answers.

Thirty quick questions, about 5 minutes is enough. All you have to do is decide which of the images and texts were generated by AI and which were made by people.

In times when generated content is more widespread than ever, when entirely generated profiles can even exist (see here), it is important to know where the line runs. Is generated content really distinguishable, and is spotting it a matter of critical thinking? (The idea was inspired by the website chovek.ai.)

Join in and give it a try! Invite your friends too! The more people take part, the more interesting and revealing the results will be!

None of the questions is mandatory—choose which ones to answer.

Five of those who choose to enter the prize draw will receive a gift: two will get a signed copy of the book Digital Stories, two will get a T-shirt with the site's logo, and one more will get the book “Zagadkite na Atanas Atanasov” (The Riddles of Atanas Atanasov), also signed.

Responses will be collected for two weeks, until March 8, 2024. The results will be announced here, and at that point everyone who took part, left an email address and asked for it will receive their own score.

(You can also fill in the questionnaire directly here, in Google Forms.)

Update:

You can find the summary results of the test here.

The test below is now open, and as soon as you submit the form you can see your score and the correct answers.

(Because of technical limitations of the Google Forms platform, some participants who asked to receive their answers by email will have to wait another day or two. In the meantime, you can take the test again, even leaving the answers blank, and you will see which ones are correct. The correct answers are also published below the test.)
